Chicken quarter recipes for dinner
Chicken quarter recipes for dinner is one of my most favorite and easy dinner recipes these days is grilled chicken quarters. Covered in our homemade seasoning mix, bursting with so much flavor and crispy skin. If you love chicken thighs and dark meat this will easily become one your most favorite easy weeknight dinner.
Ingredients:
2 chicken quarters
Olive oil
1 tablespoon garlic powder
1 tablespoon onion powder
1/2 tablespoon black pepper
1 tablespoon garlic salt
1 tablespoon seasoned salt
1 tablespoon italian seasoning
1 tsp kosher salt
1 tsp minced garlic
We cooked this chicken quarters recipe in our Ninja foodie grill, but the best part about this recipe is that it works well on a gas or charcoal grill as well.
Begin by mixing all the dry spices in a small bowl, then combine garlic and stir until mixed. Then, remove raw chicken from container and lay on paper towel, and spray with olive oil. Then, sprinkle generously the spice mixture all over the whole chicken, including the chicken drumsticks.
Then, with a pair of tongs, place the chicken pieces on the grill and close the lid. Turn on the power button, set to grill setting 2 ( high temperature) and leave them to grill, cook time is about 30 minutes or until the Ninja foodie beeps. Cooking them on a medium to high heat makes sure you get crispy chicken skin on the outside and tender meat on the inside. When they are done, you can check that the juices run clear and also check the internal temperature with a meat thermometer. It should read 165 degrees to ensure they are fully cooked. Remove them from the grill and place chicken on a platter to serve and rest. Letting the chicken rest for a few minutes ensures juicy chicken every time.
Curious about what kind of side dishes to serve with your thigh-drumstick pieces? We love to get a batch of our air fried green beans with bacon going while our chicken is cooking. You could also serve them with roasted vegetable and fresh herbs, wild rice, or baked potato. If you want an extra flavorful dish, there are a lot of great options for dipping sauce, like bbq sauce, buffalo sauce, and even maple syrup mixed with balsamic vinegar, a family favorite.
How do I store leftover chicken?
You can store your chicken in an airtight container and place in the fridge for up to two days.
Wondering what else you can make with leftovers?
With just a few simple ingredients and picking the leftover chicken off the bone you could easily make chicken sandwiches with barbecue sauce as a main dish and a favorite comfort food of ours, or another easy recipe is buffalo chicken dip as an appetizer.
