Sweet Italian dressing
Sweet Italian dressing
One of my grandmother’s favorite dressing recipes, this Sweet Italian dressing recipe from the 50’s is homemade and a fresh way to top any salad. One thing about these older recipes is the fact that they are generally very simple to make. You only need a few ingredients to make this dressing and it’s ready to serve.
What I love about this recipe
- Homemade flavor – This dressing is full of Italian herbs and you know it’s not full of processed junk.
- Can be made in advance – You can easily make this the night before you are ready to serve and keep chilled in the fridge.
- Can be used as a marinade on chicken or steak
- Wonderful to serve on a side salad with any pasta dish!
Can I add anything extra to this dressing recipe?
Yes, you could sun dried tomatoes or red pepper flakes for an extra kick in the dressing. You could also add finely ground Romano cheese or parmesan cheese to the dressing, then make sure you shake it all up again before serving so that it is mixed up.
