Is cowboy caviar healthy?
Is cowboy caviar healthy? Yes! This cowboy caviar recipe is from the 1940’s, and is a favorite appetizer and side dish at social events across the Southwest, and seems to show up in some version at most pot lucks, dinner’s or gatherings, everywhere. It’s usually an empty bowl by the end of the event, and it’s a great way to incorporate lot’s of fresh veggies and beans into your diet, this healthy cowboy caviar dressed up with a sweet zesty dressing and crunchy chips is full of so much flavor as well as vitamin c. This will surely go in your favorites for parties and family gatherings. It’s a great appetizer, or starter as well, be sure to serve this bean salad with organic corn chips.
This easy recipe is full of healthy ingredients like beans, vinegar, and peppers. this recipe is made with three different types of beans and beans are loaded with good fiber, healthy fats, and vitamins, they are known to keep you full longer and aid in preventing heart disease. Bell peppers are full of vitamin e and are wonderful for your skin, this wonderful salad is one of my favorite ways to eat bell peppers, loaded with great flavor.
This cowboy dip is also made with a homemade dressing, full of tangy flavor, but also a much healthier dressing instead of a dressing purchased in the grocery store. Most grocery store dressings are loaded with a lot of sugar and other preservitives, but the best part of this recipe is that the dressing is homemade.
