INGREDIENTS:
1 1/2 Tablespoons of Butter
2 Tablespoons of Olive Oil
Aidells Pineapple and Bacon Sausage – 1 package
3 large Potatoes – peeled and cut in pieces
1 large sweet onion – chopped
1 large red pepper – cut in chunks
1 package of whole green beans – frozen
GLAZE
1/4 cup of Balsamic Vinegar
1/2 cup of Maple Syrup
1/3 cup of Brown Sugar
Garlic Salt – Sprinkle
Garlic Powder – Sprinkle – to taste
1 teaspoon of minced Garlic
DIRECTIONS:
In a large skillet, or a large sauté pan, add the Butter, and Olive oil, and add the Potatoes, and sprinkle with the Garlic Salt, and Garlic Powder, and a little pepper if desired. Cook until the Potatoes are golden brown on one side, about 15 minutes, on medium heat. Turn the Potatoes, and move the Potatoes to one side of the Skillet, and add the chopped onion, and red pepper, and saute for about 8 minutes, stirring to cook the vegetables. Cut the Aidells Sausages into coins/slices, and move the onions and peppers to one side of the skillet with the Potatoes. Add the sliced Sausages, and cook for 10 minutes on one side, then turn sausage slices and cook on the other side, making sure both sides are browned, and golden, and a little crispy. Turn the Potatoes, onions and peppers, and move them on top of the Sausages, and add the Green beans to the skillet, and cook, stirring often until they are tender, about 5 – 7 minutes. When the green beans are tender, but still a little firm, sprinkle them with the garlic salt, and let sit for 1 minute. Turn the Green beans, and all ingredients, making sure the Potatoes, onions and peppers are golden browned, and let cook for about another 15 minutes over med-low heat.
In a small sauce pan, add the Balsamic Vinegar, Maple Syrup, Brown Sugar, Garlic Salt, and Garlic Powder, and cook on high 25-30 seconds, then turn to medium-high heat, just until the mixture gently boils, simmers. Turn the heat down to low, and add the Minced Garlic, and cook for 5 minutes. Remove from heat, and set aside.
Plate the Skillet dinner, and drizzle a generous amount over the top before serving. Serve, and Enjoy!
NOTE: If you cannot find the Pineapple Bacon Sausage, you can make this dish with Aidells Chicken Apple Sausage, and just add a little Brown sugar on top of the Sausage slices when you add it to the skillet.
