Air fryer pizza egg rolls
This is a great and quick recipe for Pepperoni pizza Egg Rolls, and there’s no fuss with oil, or the oven, because these are done in no time in the Air Fryer. They’re a wonderful twist on an old favorite, with an Italian flair. You get the best of both worlds with the Asian crispy wrappers, and the Italian Cheese, Sauce, and Pepperoni. Trust me, you’ll love these!
HERE’S WHAT YOU NEED:
5 Egg Roll Wrappers
Sliced Pepperoni – about 25 – I used ‘Hormel’
Tomato Sauce – canned – with Basil, Oregano, Garlic – 8 ounce cans – I used ‘Hunts’
2 Tablespoons of Italian Seasoning
1 Tablespoon of Brown Sugar
1/2 teaspoon of Garlic Salt
1 cup of Shredded Parmesan Cheese
1 cup of Shredded Colby-Jack Cheese
String Cheese – Mozzarella
3 Tablespoons of Butter – melted
Minced garlic – to add to Butter
HERE’S WHAT YOU DO:
In a medium bowl, add the Tomato Sauce, Italian Seasoning, Brown Sugar, and Garlic Salt, and stir well to blend. Lay the Egg Roll Wrappers out on a sheet of Parchment Paper, and generously spread the Sauce on the Wrappers. Place 5 Pepperoni in the middle of the Wrappers, and lay a String Cheese stick on top of the Pepperoni. In a bowl, mix the shredded Parmesan Cheese with the Shredded Colby Jack, and sprinkle in the middle of the Wrappers. Roll up the Wrappers, and place the 5 Egg Rolls in the Air Fryer on 350 degrees for 3 minutes.
While the Egg Rolls are in the Air Fryer, Melt the Butter in the Microwave, and add minced garlic. Mix to blend. When the Wrappers are done, open the Air Fryer, and brush the Garlic Butter on the top of the Wrappers. Leave the Wrappers in the Air Fryer, and cook another 3 minutes, or until golden brown. Serve, and Enjoy!
NOTE: If your Air Fryer holds more than 5 Egg Rolls at one time, you can prepare additional Egg Rolls as needed, just double, or triple the recipe.
