Ingredients

For the Pasta

  • 12–16 oz pasta shells
  • Salt for boiling water

For the Kielbasa + Sauce

  • 1 (12–14 oz) kielbasa ring, sliced into coins
  • 1 tablespoon butter or oil
  • ½ cup BBQ sauce (use your favorite brand)
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • ½ teaspoon smoked paprika
  • ¼ cup water (to loosen the sauce if needed)
  • Salt & pepper, to taste

Optional:

  • ¼ cup grated parmesan
  • Parsley for garnish

Instructions

1. Boil the Pasta

  1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil.
  2. Add pasta shells and cook according to package directions.
  3. Drain and set aside.

2. Brown the Kielbasa

  1. While the pasta cooks, heat butter or oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  2. Add the kielbasa coins in an even layer.
  3. Cook until browned and caramelized on both sides — this adds HUGE flavor.

3. Make the Honey BBQ Sauce

  1. Lower the heat slightly and stir in the BBQ sauce, honey, brown sugar, garlic powder, onion powder, and smoked paprika.
  2. Add a splash of water if the sauce seems too thick.
  3. Let the sauce simmer 2–3 minutes, stirring to coat the kielbasa.
  4. Taste and adjust with salt, pepper, or more honey.

4. Toss the Pasta

  1. Add the cooked pasta shells directly into the skillet.
  2. Toss everything together until the pasta is fully coated in the glossy honey BBQ sauce.
  3. Let it warm through for another minute.

5. Serve

Top with parmesan and parsley if you want — or serve it just as it is. It’s amazing either way!
