Chopped cheeseburger sliders

These chopped cheeseburger sliders are so good, you’ll want to eat the whole pan!  They’re easy to make, and you can have them done in no time.

This is a great spin on an old favorite, because who doesn’t love a cheeseburger!  These Chopped cheeseburger sliders are so versatile, they would be great for a get together, watching the game, or a party of any kind.  You can even pop them in the oven, and reheat them the next day, if there are any left!  Make sure to put this one in your favorites.

HERE’S WHAT YOU NEED:

  • 2 pounds of Ground Sirloin
  • Garlic Salt – to taste
  • Seasoned Salt – to taste
  • Seasoned Pepper – to taste
  • 1 large sweet onion – chopped
  • 1 red bell pepper – chopped
  • 1 teaspoon of brown sugar
  • 3/4 cup of Ketchup
  • 1/2 cup of Country Bob’s all purpose sauce
  • 2 dozen slider rolls (I used Kings Hawaiian rolls)
  • 1 package of Shredded Colby Jack cheese – 12 – 16 ounces
  • 1/4 cup of butter – melted
  • Garlic salt – to flavor butter
  • Everything Bagel seasoning
  • Green onions – chopped

HERE’S WHAT YOU DO:

In a large heavy skillet, brown the ground Sirloin until cooked to a golden brown, and no pink is visible.  Sprinkle with garlic salt, seasoned salt, and seasoned pepper.  Using a fork, break up the Sirloin during cooking, into fine crumbles.  Remove all fat with paper towels, and discard  While the Sirloin is cooking, chop the onion, and red pepper, and set aside.

After you’ve drained the fat from the Sirloin, move the cooked meat to one side of the skillet, and add the chopped onion, and red pepper.  Cook for about 5 minutes, or until the onion is golden brown.  Add 1 teaspoon of brown sugar to the onion and red pepper, by sprinkling over the top.  Stir the onion and red pepper together, and mix in with cooked Sirloin.  Add the Ketchup, and Country Bob’s and stir well. Turn off heat.

Line 2 cookie sheets with Parchment paper, and place the slider rolls on the cookie sheets. With a large, sharp knife, cut the slider rolls in half and fill the bottom half with the chopped and Seasoned Sirloin.  Spread out evenly on rolls, and sprinkle with shredded Colby Jack cheese.  Place the top rolls on the Sirloin mixture..

In the microwave, Melt the 1/4 cup of butter, and sprinkle with garlic salt to flavor.  Brush the melted garlic butter on the tops of the rolls, and sprinkle Everything Bagel seasoning over the tops of the rolls.

Place in the oven, at 350 degrees for 8 to 10 minutes, or until rolls are golden brown.  Remove from oven, sprinkle with chopped green onions, serve, and Enjoy!
