Baked spaghetti
A long time family favorite, baked spaghetti, is the best kind of comfort food any night of the week. Hearty and filling, yet easy to make in under 45 minutes.
Ingredients:
12oz. spaghetti
2 tbsp. extra virgin olive oil
1 medium yellow onio, chopped
2 cloves garlic, minced
1lb. ground beef
kosher salt
freshly ground black pepper
3 tsp. Italian seasoning
1 28oz. can of crushed tomatoes
2 tablespoons brown sugar
1/2 c. basil, chopped
1 tsp oregano
1 c. shredded mozzarella
1 c. freshly grated parmesan
chopped fresh parsley for garnish
Preheat oven to 350 degrees and spray a medium sized baing dish with cooking spray. Bring water to a boil and cook spaghetti for 8 minutes. In a large skillet add oil, cook ground beef and season with salt, pepper, oregano, and Italian seasoning. Then, add chopped onions, cook until translucent. Pour in tomatoes and add brown sugar, simmer for about 15 minutes. Next, toss with spaghetti, add cheese and transfer to baking dish. Top with more cheese and parsley, place in oven and bake for 20 minutes. Serve with garlic bread and enjoy!
