There’s just something special about a homemade popsicle on a hot summer day. These Red, White, and Blue Popsicles are one of my favorite patriotic treats because they’re simple to make, absolutely beautiful, and always a hit with both kids and adults.

I love serving them at Fourth of July cookouts, pool parties, and backyard barbecues because they instantly add a festive touch to the dessert table. Ingredients

Red Layer

  • 2 cups strawberries, hulled
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice

White Layer

  • 1 1/2 cups vanilla Greek yogurt
  • 2 tablespoons honey

Blue Layer

  • 2 cups blueberries
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice

Instructions

  1. Add strawberries, sugar, and lemon juice to a blender and blend until smooth.
  2. Pour the strawberry mixture into popsicle molds, filling each mold about one-third full.
  3. Freeze for 45 minutes to 1 hour, or until mostly set.
  4. In a small bowl, mix together the vanilla yogurt and honey.
  5. Spoon the yogurt mixture evenly over the strawberry layer.
  6. Freeze for another 45 minutes to 1 hour.
  7. Blend the blueberries, sugar, and lemon juice until smooth.
  8. Pour the blueberry mixture over the yogurt layer.
  9. Insert popsicle sticks and freeze for at least 4 hours or overnight.
  10. Run warm water over the outside of the molds for a few seconds before removing the popsicles.
