CHICKEN CORDON BLEU
Talk about a great twist on an old classic favorite!  This Instant Pot Cordon Bleu will not disappoint.  It’s really simple to prepare. and the Instant Pot just melds all the flavors together.  It’s a quick meal, so you can make this on a busy day, and still give your family a wonderful meal, that’s tasty and filling.  Make sure to put this one in your favorites, because everyone will love this!


HERE’S WHAT YOU NEED TO MAKE CHICKEN CORDON BLEU:

1 pound of chicken tenders

2 Tablespoons of Butter

2 Tablespoons of Olive oil

4 cups of water

2 chicken bullion cubes

1 container of Panko Bread Crumbs
Garlic salt – to taste

Seasoned salt – to taste

Seasoned pepper – to taste
6 – 8 slices of Ham – cut in bite size pieces

1 – 16 ounce package of medium shells


*1/3 cup of Heavy Cream – added after cooking*

1 cup of shredded Parmesan Cheese – added after cooking*

1/4 cup of Italian Flat Leaf Parsley – chopped finely – added after cooking

HERE’S WHAT YOU DO:

Press the ‘SAUTE’ button on the Instant Pot, and add the butter.  When butter melts, add the Olive oil, and the Chicken Tenders. Sprinkle lightly with Garlic salt, Seasoned salt, and Seasoned pepper. Sprinkle generously with Panko Bread Crumbs, and cook until Chicken is completely done, about 20 minutes.  Turn the Chicken in the Olive oil – butter, and stir well to make sure Chicken is cooked through.  When chicken is golden brown, and no pink remains (check the center of the chicken, by slicing the center of the biggest Tender with a knife – making sure there is no pink, and chicken is cooked through) turn off Saute setting, and shred chicken.  Add the water, and Bullion cubes, and stir.  Cut the ham in bite size pieces, and add to Instant Pot.  Add the Pasta, and stir to submerge the Pasta in the chicken broth, making sure all pasta in covered in broth.  If Pasta is not covered, add a little more water, and stir to cover Pasta 

Place lid on the Instant Pot until it beeps and locks.  Make sure the Pressure valve is turned to ‘SEALING’, and set the time for 9 minutes.  When the Instant Pot is done, beeps, and goes to off, make sure all the pressure has been released, by turning the Pressure Valve from Sealing to ‘VENTING’  Use an oven Mitt to turn the valve and prevent steam on your hand.  Remove the lid from the Instant Pot, and toss the Pasta, chicken and ham together, gently.  Add the cream. and Parmesan cheese, and stir.  Top with finely chopped Parsley, and serve.  Enjoy!
