What You’ll Need
Making stir fry sauce from scratch requires just a few simple ingredients. All you’ll need for this recipe are soy sauce, orange juice, garlic, corn starch, brown sugar, and water. If you want to add some heat to your sauce, feel free to mix in some red pepper flakes or sriracha as well.

Instructions

Start by combining 1/3 cup of soy sauce with 1 cup of orange juice in a sauce pan.  Mix together until combined, and add 1/3 cup of Water, and 1/2 cup of Brown Sugar.  Bring to a boil, and turn heat down.  Add 1 teaspoon of Minced Garlic. Let the sauce simmer on low.  Mix 1 heaping Tablespoon of Corn Starch with 1/4 cup of water, and stir until smooth.  Turn the heat back up on high, and slowly add the Corn Starch to the Sauce, stirring until completely blended.  When the Sauce starts to boil, turn the heat back to low, and continue to stir.  Sauce will begin to thicken.  (Sauce won’t become thick like gravy, but will be a little thicker than a watery sauce.)  With a teaspoon, taste the sauce, and add more Brown Sugar, or Soy Sauce, if needed, to your preference.

That’s it—your stir fry sauce is ready to go!
