When the temperatures start to drop and the evenings get longer, there’s nothing quite like curling up with a cup of hot chocolate. But why settle for the mundane when you can indulge in something truly special? This winter, treat yourself to a cup of Kahlua hot chocolate. It’s simple to make, ll of chocolate and rum flavors and sure to warm you from the inside out.
Ingredients:
- 1 cup milk
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- 1/3 cup sugar
- 3 tablespoons cocoa powder
- 1 tablespoon Kahlua coffee liqueur
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- Whipped cream (optional)
- Pinch of salt
Begin by placing a medium saucepan on the stove over medium-high heat. Heat milk, heavy cream, and vanilla until the milk slightly starts to bubble, then turn down heat. Next, add the cocoa powder and stir until dissolved. Remove from heat and add a pinch of salt and the tablespoon of kahlua. Top with whipped cream and gold sprinkles (optional).
