Mississippi Pot Roast crockpot: The Easiest Crock Pot Recipe You’ll Ever Make

HERE’S WHAT YOU NEED:

  • 1 Beef Chuck Roast – 4 to 5 pounds
  • 1 stick of Butter – melted
  • 1 package of Brown Gravy Mix
  • 1 package of Ranch Dressing Mix – Dry mix – Hidden Valley
  • 3 to 4 large Banana Peppers – rinsed well, and dried on paper towels
  • Garlic Salt – to taste
  • Seasoned Pepper – to taste

HERE’S WHAT YOU DO:

Turn the Crock Pot on the HIGH heat setting, and let it get hot.  Place the Pot Roast in the Crock Pot, and sprinkle with the Garlic Salt, and Seasoned Pepper, on both sides. Melt the Butter in the Microwave and pour over the Roast.

Sprinkle on the Gravy Mix, and then the Ranch Dressing Mix.  Place the Banana Peppers around the sides of the Roast.

Place the Lid on the Crock Pot, and cook the Roast about 4 or 5 hours, then turn the heat down to low, and cook an additional 4 hours.  Ladle the Juices over the Roast, and finish cooking.

When the Roast is done cooking, ladle the excess juices out of the Crock Pot, and into a container. Place the container in the Refrigerator, and let the Fat come to the Top of the juices, and spoon the fat off.

Remove the Banana Peppers from the Crock Pot, and place the lid on the Crock Pot, and turn the Heat back to the High Setting.  When you have removed the fat from the Juices, return the Juice to the Crock Pot, and Slice, or Shred the Roast with the Au Juice.

Slice the Banana Pepper, and remove the seeds from the inside, and place back in the Crock Pot with the Roast.  Turn the heat to keep warm.  Serve, and enjoy!

NOTE: Serve with Potatoes, Carrots, Green Beans, Sauteed Onions, or other favorites. 

ALSO:  The Banana Peppers I had were very large, and I only used 3 of them.  You can use as many, or as little as you like.
