- For the Chicken:
- 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon garlic salt
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 2 cups Italian breadcrumbs
- For the Pasta:
- 12 oz fettuccine pasta or shells
- For the Sauce:
- 1 17oz. bottle of water
- 1 chicken bouillon cube – herbox
- Garlic salt
- Garlic powder
- 1 cup of milk or cream
- 1 heaping teaspoon minced garlic
- 1 cup grated parmesan cheese
- 4 tablespoons brown sugar
- 1 heaping tablespoon of flour
Let’s Get Cooking
1. Preparing the Chicken:
Start by seasoning and slicing your chicken breasts. Dredge them in breadcrumbs, then melt butter and olive oil in a skillet and cook them until they’re golden brown and perfectly juicy. Once cooked, let them rest before slicing into strips.
2. Cooking the Pasta:
While your chicken is cooking, boil the fettuccine until it’s al dente. Remember to salt your pasta water generously for the best flavor.
3. Making the Sauce:
In the same skillet, add water, bouillon cube, garlic salt, garlic powder, cream, minced garlic, parmesan cheese, flour, and brown sugar. Bring to a boil, stirring constantly. Put a small amount of sauce out on a plate and taste. if you like a little more salt, sprinkle on a bit more garlic salt. Make sure the sauce has boiled and simmers for 3-5 minutes. I add a little extra parmesan cheese, stir well and then turn off the heat, and add the cooked pasta.
4. Bringing It All Together:
Toss the cooked fettuccine and sliced chicken in the creamy sauce until everything is well coated. Serve immediately, garnished with extra Parmesan cheese for an added touch of indulgence.
