Beef rib back ribs recipe
These Oven Baked Beef rib back ribs recipe, BBQ Ribs are so good, and it’s such an easy recipe to make. With just a little effort, you can serve up some of the best baby back ribs you’ve ever eaten. You end up with tender ribs, cooked low and slow, and slathered in barbecue sauce, that everyone will love. You can buy a slab of ribs from your local grocery store, or get them at the local butcher shop, and come away with a cut of good meat that will make your dinner time really delicious. This is such a simple recipe, that even if this is your first time cooking baby back ribs, no one will know, and they’ll absolutely love this for dinner, while they’re watching the game, or for any family functions.
While these Ribs are baking in the oven, at a low heat, you’ll have time to prepare some of your favorite side dishes, and maybe even a yummy dessert! You cook these with the oven temperature at 300 degrees, and they cook for about 4 hours. I like to cook them with the dry rub recipe while they’re wrapped in foil, on a cookie sheet. then sauce them with bbq sauce, and place them right in the middle of the rack on a baking sheet, for the last 30 minutes of cooking time, and this turns out to be such a good recipe for some very tasty, juicy ribs.
Baby Back Ribs are Pork Ribs, and they seem to turn out just as well as Beef Rib recipe’s cooked in the oven. I think the secret is cooking them slow, then finishing them with the BBQ sauce, at a higher heat for the best results. They have a wonderful flavor, and when you cook them uncovered at high heat for the last 30 minutes, the BBQ sauce will get thick, and the Ribs turn to a tender fall off the bone stage that makes this the easiest way to make these Ribs.
If you’re cooking more than one rack of Ribs, you’ll need to have an extra large cookie sheet, or baking sheet to place them on, as they cook better in a single layer, rather than stacked. You’ll also want to keep them in the middle of the oven, so the heat radiates all around them, and doesn’t cook the top or bottom faster than the other. You can make these Ribs for family dinner, or a special occasion, and your family or guests will be so glad you did!
INGREDIENTS for Beef rib back ribs recipe :
1 Slab Baby Back Ribs
Aluminum Foil
Soy Sauce
HOMEMADE DRY RUB:
1 Tablespoon of Coarse Ground Garlic Salt with Parsley (I used Lawry’s)
1 Tablespoon of Seasoned Salt
1 Tablespoon of Garlic Powder
1 Tablespoon of Onion Powder
1 teaspoon of ground dry Mustard
1 Tablespoon of Paprika
1 teaspoon of Chili Powder
1/2 teaspoon of ground Oregano
1 teaspoon of Seasoned Pepper
1/2 cup of Brown Sugar
1 Bottle of Barbecue Sauce – your favorite bbq sauce – Suggestions: Country Bob’s, or KC Masterpiece
DIRECTIONS:
Open the Ribs, and lay the Ribs meat side down on a large piece of Butcher paper, or parchment paper. Using a sharp knife, place the knife under the corner edge of the white colored membrane that is covering the bones. (Some Ribs, such as Hormel brand, may come with the Membrane removed, if so, you can skip this step). Loosen the Membrane with the knife enough to get a hold of the Membrane, or Silver skin. Grab hold of the Membrane with one hand, and hold the Ribs down with the other, and pull the Membrane off of the back of the Ribs. This is necessary to remove, because it will keep the seasonings and smoked flavors from getting through to the Meaty part of the Ribs, and it forms a leathery texture when cooked, that’s not good.
Next, tear off two large pieces of Foil, and double foil the Ribs. Place Ribs in the center of the Foil, and lightly sprinkle the Soy Sauce onto the meaty side, and give it a good rub. In a small bowl, add the Garlic Salt, Seasoned Salt, Garlic Powder, Onion Powder, Ground Mustard, Paprika, Chili Powder, Oregano, Seasoned Pepper, and Brown Sugar, and stir well to blend. Rub the dry rub on the Ribs, rubbing it into the Meat. Turn the Ribs over, putting them meat side down to cook. Pull the foil up around the Ribs, and seal the ribs in the foil.
Place the Ribs on a baking sheet, and place in the oven at 300 degrees for 4 hours. Remove the Ribs from the oven, and place the Ribs on a clean baking sheet. Unwrap the foil, and using kitchen tongs, turn the Ribs over, placing them meat side up. Pour on the BBQ Sauce, and brush with a basting brush, covering the ribs in the Sauce. Leave the the Foil loosely wrapped, and turn the oven temperature to 400 degrees. Cook the Ribs another 30 minutes. Remove the Ribs from the oven, and check the internal temperature with a Meat Thermometer. The thermometer should read WELL DONE – or a reading of 195 in order for the Ribs to be tender and done. Wrap the foil tightly around the Ribs, and let them stand for 1 hour. The Beef rib back ribs recipe should be tender and juicy. Slice the Ribs in portions, plate Ribs and serve. Enjoy!
