Ingredients

  • 2 pounds ground turkey
  • 1 medium onion, diced
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 green bell pepper, diced
  • 2 (15 oz) cans chili beans (do not drain)
  • 1 (15 oz) can kidney beans, drained and rinsed
  • 1 (15 oz) can diced tomatoes
  • 1 (15 oz) can tomato sauce
  • 1 (6 oz) can tomato paste
  • 2 tablespoons chili powder
  • 1 tablespoon cumin
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon onion powder
  • ½ teaspoon oregano
  • ¼–½ teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional)

Instructions

1. Brown the Turkey

In a skillet over medium heat, cook the ground turkey until fully cooked and no longer pink.

Add the diced onion, bell pepper, and garlic. Cook for 3–4 minutes until softened.

2. Add to Crock Pot

Transfer the turkey mixture to the crock pot.

Add:

  • Chili beans (with liquid)
  • Kidney beans
  • Diced tomatoes
  • Tomato sauce
  • Tomato paste
  • All seasonings

Stir until well combined.

3. Slow Cook

Cover and cook:

  • Low for 6–8 hours, or
  • High for 3–4 hours

Stir once or twice if you’re home, but it’s not required.

4. Serve

Taste and adjust seasoning if needed.

Serve hot with your favorite toppings.
