These meatballs are so good! The sauce really tops them off, and they’re a great alternative to beef or pork. They are so easy to make, and the air fryer cooks them quickly, so you could make these on a busy night and still have a healthy delicious dinner. Make sure you keep this recipe in your favorites because everyone will love these!
HERE’S WHAT YOU NEED TO MAKE AIRE FRYER BANG BANG CHICKEN MEATBALLS:
- 1 pound of ground Organic Chicken
- 1 Tablespoon of Coarse Ground Garlic Salt with Parsley
- 1 teaspoon of Seasoned Pepper
- 1 small sweet onion – finely chopped
- 1 teaspoon of minced Garlic
- 2 Tablespoons of Parsley – Finely chopped
- 1 egg
- 1/2 cup of crushed Ritz crackers
- 1/3 cup of Teriyaki sauce
- Spray Olive Oil
FOR THE SAUCE:
- 1/4 cup of Greek Yogurt
- 1/2 up of Sweet Chili Sauce
- Finely chopped Parsley – to sprinkle on top
HERE’S WHAT YOU DO:
In a large bowl, place the ground chicken, and separate with a large fork. Sprinkle with the coarse ground garlic salt, seasoned pepper. and finely chopped parsley. Stir all together, and add the chopped onion, minced garlic, egg, and crushed Ritz crackers. Stir well to blend all ingredients together. Add the Teriyaki Sauce and mix well to blend. Form into meatballs, about 1 1/2 inches around. Place the formed meatballs in the Air Fryer basket, and spray generously with the Spray Olive Oil. Set the Temperature to 400 degrees, and the time to 12 minutes. About halfway through cooking – at about 6 minutes, turn the meatballs, and lightly spray with the Spray Olive oil. Finish cooking and check the meatballs to ensure they’re done – they should be golden brown, and no pink on the inside; just cut one open to make sure they are cooked through. If they are not completely cooked through, cook them for 4 more minutes, and check them again.Â
*Air Fryers do vary in temperature, and times, so just make sure the meatballs have finished cooking – or if they need more time. You can always just add 2 minutes, and check them again, and keep adding 2 minutes until they’re completely cooked through.
Make the Sauce: In a large bowl, add the Greek Yogurt, and the Sweet Chili Sauce. Stir together until well blended, and then toss the cooked Meatballs in the Sauce, and sprinkle with finely chopped Parsley. If you prefer to serve the sauce on the side, then mix in a small bowl, and place on the serving table.
These can be served with a side of Rice, or Noodles, or your favorite vegetables. Enjoy!
Makes 4 – 6 servings
NOTE: I used Greek Gods Greek Yogurt, and Hy Vee brand Sweet Chili sauce. I also used Italian Flat Leaf Parsley – I find it has more flavor than regular parsley, and gives a better flavor where Parsley is called for in a recipe.
