Ingredients
- 1 lb ground round
- 1 large onion, chopped
- 1 teaspoon minced garlic
- 1 teaspoon ground cumin
- 3 tablespoons brown sugar
- 1 heaping tablespoon taco seasoning mix
- 1/3 cup fresh Ortega taco sauce
- 1 can Ranch beans, rinsed and drained
- 1 can (15–16 oz) corn, drained
- 1 can (14.5 oz) stewed tomatoes, undrained
- 4–6 cups water (I used Dasani)
- Garlic salt, seasoned salt, seasoned pepper, to taste

Instructions
- In a large pot or Dutch oven, cook the ground round until browned and no pink remains.
- Add the chopped onion and cook about 10 minutes until soft. Remove any excess fat.
- Sprinkle in garlic salt, seasoned salt, and seasoned pepper. Stir to combine.
- Add taco seasoning, cumin, taco sauce, and brown sugar. Stir well.
- Add Ranch beans, corn, stewed tomatoes, water, and minced garlic. Stir to blend.
- Bring the soup to a boil, then reduce heat to low and simmer for about an hour, adding more water as needed.
- Serve hot with tortilla chips, crackers, or cornbread.
