  • 12 oz egg noodles
  • 4 tablespoons butter
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced (optional but recommended)
  • ½ teaspoon salt (plus more for pasta water)
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper
  • ¼–½ cup grated parmesan cheese
  • 2–4 tablespoons reserved pasta water
  • 1 tablespoon chopped parsley (optional)

Instructions

1. Cook the Noodles

Bring a skillet or pot of water to a boil and cook the egg noodles according to package directions until tender.

Drain and set aside.

2. Make the Garlic Butter

In a large skillet over medium heat, melt the butter.

Add minced garlic and cook for about 1 minute, just until fragrant.

3. Toss the Noodles

Add the cooked noodles to the skillet and toss to coat in the garlic butter.

Sprinkle with garlic salt and garlic powder, adjusting to taste.

4. Finish
