Ingredients:

  • 1 cup peanut butter
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 12 mini peanut butter cups
  • 24 candy eyes
  • ½ cup semisweet chocolate chips (for piping the legs)

Instructions:

  1. Preheat Oven: Set your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Make the Cookie Dough: In a medium bowl, combine the peanut butter, sugar, and egg until smooth and well-mixed.
  3. Form Cookies: Roll dough into 1-inch balls and place them on the prepared baking sheet, flattening them slightly with the back of a spoon.
  4. Bake: Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown. Let cookies cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
  5. Add Peanut Butter Cup: Once the cookies are cool, place a mini peanut butter cup upside down in the center of each cookie.
  6. Attach Eyes: Dab a bit of melted chocolate on the back of the candy eyes and attach them to the peanut butter cup.
  7. Create Spider Legs: Melt the chocolate chips in the microwave in 20-second intervals, stirring between each, until smooth. Transfer the melted chocolate to a piping bag or a small ziplock bag with the corner snipped off. Pipe three legs on each side of the peanut butter cup to create your spider.
  8. Set and Serve: Let the chocolate set before serving or storing.
