  1. Preheat the smoker to 225°F, using hickory, apple, or cherry wood for the best flavor.
  2. In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, breadcrumbs, eggs, onion, garlic, milk, ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, brown sugar, salt, pepper, smoked paprika, and onion powder. Mix gently until just combined — don’t overmix.
  3. Shape the meat mixture into a loaf and place it on a piece of parchment paper or directly on a grill-safe tray or rack.
  4. In a small bowl, stir together the BBQ sauce, ketchup, brown sugar, and Worcestershire sauce. Brush a generous layer of glaze over the top of the meatloaf.
  5. Place the meatloaf in the smoker and smoke for 2 to 2½ hours, brushing with additional glaze during the last 30 minutes.
  6. The meatloaf is done when the internal temperature reaches 160°F.
  7. Remove from the smoker and let rest for 10 minutes before slicing and serving.
