HERE’S WHAT YOU NEED:
- 1/4 cup of Tequila
- 1/4 of Lime Juice – freshly squeezed
- 1 container of Fresh Strawberries – washed and stemmed
- 3 scoops of Dragon Fruit – see instructions
- 2 Tablespoons of Honey
- For glass rims – dip in Honey, and Margarita Salt
- Ice Cubes
- Glasses – 8 ounce Glasses
- Rosemary Sprigs to Garnish – Optional
HERE’S WHAT YOU DO:
Start by Rinsing the Strawberries, and drying with paper towels. Rinse the Dragon Fruit, and Dry the Outside. Place the Dragon Fruit on a plate, and cut in half. Using a small Melon Baller, scoop out small scoops of the Dragon Fruit. Place the Scooped Fruit in a bowl, and place in the refrigerator.
In a shallow dish, add the Honey, and in another shallow dish, or on a small plate, place the Margarita Salt. Dip the Glass rims in the Honey, and then in the Margarita Salt, and place in the refrigerator for about 20 minutes.
In a Blender, add the Tequila, Lime Juice, about 8 of the Strawberries, 3 of the scoops of Dragon Fruit, Honey, and Ice Cubes. Blend until smooth. Remove glasses from the refrigerator, and pour the Margarita mixture into the glasses, filling them. Slice a lime, and make a slit on one side of the lime slices, and place on the rim of the Margarita Glass. Slice the Strawberries starting at the small tip of the Berry, and make a cut, or slit, about 3/4 of the way up the Berry, and place it on the rim of the Glass. Add a sprig of Rosemary, and a scoop of the Dragon Fruit to garnish. Serve, and Enjoy!
Makes 4 – 8 ounce drinks
NOTE: You can find the fresh Rosemary Sprigs in the Produce Department, in small containers. Just rinse the Sprigs well, and dry on paper towels before using as a Garnish.
