  • 4 cups water
  • 4 black tea bags (or any tea of your choice)
  • 2 ripe peaches, sliced
  • 1/4 cup honey or sugar (adjust to taste)
  • 1/4 cup bourbon (adjust to taste)
  • Ice cubes
  • Fresh mint leaves for garnish (optional)

Instructions:

  1. Brew the Tea:
    • In a saucepan, bring 4 cups of water to a boil.
    • Remove the saucepan from heat and add the tea bags.
    • Allow the tea bags to steep for about 5-7 minutes, or until the desired strength is achieved.
  2. Make the Peach Syrup:
    • In a separate saucepan, combine the sliced peaches and honey (or sugar) with 1/2 cup of water.
    • Bring the mixture to a simmer over medium heat, stirring occasionally.
    • Let it simmer for about 8-10 minutes, or until the peaches are soft and the liquid is slightly syrupy.
    • Remove from heat and strain the syrup to remove the peach solids. Allow it to cool.
  3. Combine Tea and Peach Syrup:
    • In a pitcher, combine the brewed tea and the cooled peach syrup.
    • Stir well to ensure the flavors are evenly distributed.
  4. Add Bourbon:
    • Stir in the bourbon to the pitcher of tea and peach syrup. Adjust the amount to your taste preferences.
  5. Chill:
    • Place the pitcher in the refrigerator to chill for at least 1-2 hours, or until thoroughly chilled.
  6. Serve:
    • Fill glasses with ice cubes and sliced peaches, pour the bourbon peach tea over the ice.
