Oreo shamrock shake

If you love Mcdonald’s shamrock shake like I do, then this copycat Oreo shamrock shake recipe will be a favorite.  It’s smooth and sweet, and a little minty, and then the crunch of the chocolate Oreo cookies and cream, make this one of the best copycat desserts around. 

It’s really simple to make, and you can share this with family or friends.  You can make this for an after-dinner treat, to sip with a great grilled sandwich, or anytime you’re craving a great milk shake! This frosty beverage is a delicious twist on the classic shamrock shake, combining the refreshing taste of mint with the beloved crunch of Oreo cookies.

HERE’S WHAT YOU NEED:

• 3 large scoops of Vanilla ice cream
• 1/2 cup of heavy cream
• 2 Oreo cookies
• 1/2 teaspoon of Peppermint extract
• 4 – 6 drops of green food coloring gel
• Whipped cream – to top
• Maraschino cherries – to top

HERE’S WHAT YOU DO:

In a blender, add the Vanilla ice cream, heavy cream, peppermint extract, food coloring, and Oreo’s, and blend until all ingredients are well mixed, and smooth.  Pour shake into a large glass, and top with whipped cream, and a cherry.  Serve and enjoy!

Makes one 8oz. shake
