Blueberry popping boba tea

This Blueberry popping boba tea recipe is one of the most popular drinks around today. It’s on the menu in most tea shops, bubble tea store and trendy restaurants. You can find it in different flavors and colors, and the popping Boba pearls make this a fun drink to order as well as a tasty bubble tea recipe to make at home.

Ingredients
  

  • 3 Cups of whole Milk or soy milk or oat milk or coconut milk or almond milk
  • 2 Tea bags – your choice of tea – we used black tea or white tea
  • 1/2 cup of Sugar
  • 1 container of Blueberry Boba or popping pearls – See link
  • 1 can of Redi-whip Whipped Cream – to top
  • Fresh Blueberries – to top
  • 1 drop purple food coloring – optional
  • 1/2 cup ice cubes

Instructions
 

  • Using a medium saucepan, heat the milk and sugar, over medium heat, just to a simmer.
  • Remove from the heat, and add the Black Tea Bags, and steep for 15 minutes.
  • Pour into a large pitcher, add one drop of purple food coloring, and refrigerate until chilled.
  • When the Milk Tea is chilled, open the Boba, use a slotted spoon a add a couple of spoonfuls into the glass, and pour the Milk Tea over the Boba.
  • Add a generous amount of Whipped Cream to the top of the glass, and a few Blueberries to finish the top.
  • Add a large boba straws and Enjoy!

Notes

You can store leftover boba in an airtight container and keep in the fridge for up to 10 days.
