Ingredients

  • 3 large sweet potatoes, peeled and sliced into ½-inch rounds
  • 3 tablespoons melted butter
  • 3 tablespoons pure maple syrup
  • 3 tablespoons brown sugar
  • ½ teaspoon cinnamon
  • Pinch of salt
  • Optional: chopped pecans, mini marshmallows, or flaky sea salt for topping

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven:
Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper or foil for easy cleanup.
  2. Prepare the potatoes:
Peel and slice sweet potatoes into even ½-inch rounds. Lay them flat in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet.
  3. Make the glaze:
In a small bowl, whisk together melted butter, maple syrup, brown sugar, cinnamon, and a pinch of salt.
  4. Coat and bake:
Brush the sweet potato rounds generously with the brown sugar maple glaze. Bake for 25–30 minutes, flipping halfway through and brushing with more glaze if desired, until the edges are caramelized and the centers are fork-tender.
  5. Optional topping:
For a little extra indulgence, sprinkle with chopped pecans or a few mini marshmallows during the last 5 minutes of baking.
  6. Serve warm:
Transfer to a serving dish and drizzle any extra glaze from the pan over the top before serving.

Tips

  • Slice the sweet potatoes evenly so they bake at the same rate.
  • Use real maple syrup — it makes all the difference in flavor.
  • For a more savory twist, add a touch of smoked paprika or rosemary.
  • These reheat beautifully in the air fryer or oven — just 5 minutes at 375°F and they’re as good as new.
