Kahula mug cake recipe no egg
Kahula mug cake recipe no egg
If you regularly get a sweet tooth or need a chocolate fix like I do, then you will love this mug cake recipe no egg, and the best part is we added a little Kahula for a sweet treat! All you need is a few simple ingredients from the grocery store to make this great recipe. The entire cake is mixed up in a mug and cooked in the microwave, it’s a single serving cake in less than two minutes, top it will ice cream and it will easily become your go to dessert. Another thing we love about this eggless mug cake recipe is that it is budget friendly and made with pantry staple ingredients, perfect for a late night chocolate craving. The baking powder works as a leavening agent and when you cook in the microwave on full power you get a fluffy chocolate cake that has risen to the top of your mug.
Tools needed for this simple microwave mug cake:
Microwave safe coffee mug
Microwave
Spoon
Measuring spoon
Ingredients you will need to make this eggless chocolate mug cake recipe:
4 tbsp All purpose flour
6 tbsp milk or almond milk
1 tbsp vegetable oil
2 tbsp unsweetened cocoa powder
2 tbsp sugar
1/4 tsp baking powder
1 pinch salt
1 handful of chocolate chips
1 tsp vanilla extract
2 tbsp kahula
Begin by getting a mug, 8oz or larger, the mug size doesn’t matter that much and it wont affect how your cake cooks in the microwave, but I wouldn’t use a smaller mug, as your egg free mug cake might run over while it’s cooking and make a mess. Then add wet ingredients to the mug, like milk, oil, vanilla, and kahula. Stir these ingredients together in the mug and then begin adding the dry ingredients like flour, sugar, cocoa, baking powder, and salt. begin to stir all of the cake ingredients together, be sure to scrape the bottom of the mug and the sides. You don’t want to leave lumps of flour at the bottom of the mug. next, place your mug in the microwave oven and cook for one minute, if the fluffy cake looks a little wet on top cook for 10 more seconds. Then, take the mug out of the microwave and let it cool off for a few minutes and sprinkle the chocolate chips on top. I prefer my cake room temperature, but you can for sure eat it while it’s hot. Top with whipped cream, vanilla ice cream, or you can even top the top of the cake batter with a little frosting out of a can if you have it on hand. Enjoy!
