EGG NOG COOKIES

These Egg Nog Cookies are so good, and they’re really easy to make. With just a few simple ingredients, these cookies will have your whole house smelling like the Holiday season.  These are sure to be loved by everyone, and they’d be great at a party, on a Buffet Table, or for a Cookie Exchange.  No matter when you decide to make these, you’ll be glad you did!  Keep these in your favorites. 

HERE’S WHAT YOU NEED:

  • 2 1/2 cups of Flour
  • 1 teaspoon of Baking Soda
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 1 cup of Butter – softened
  • 3/4 cup of Sugar
  • 3/4 cup of Brown Sugar
  • 1 teaspoon of Vanilla
  • 2 Eggs
  • 1/3 cup of Egg Nog
    1 teaspoon of Cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon of Nutmeg


TO FROST:

  • 1 Can of Vanilla Frosting

HERE’S WHAT YOU DO TO MAKE EGG NOG COOKIES:

In the mixing bowl of a stand mixer, add the Butter, Sugar, Brown Sugar, Vanilla, and Egg Nog and Eggs, and mix until smooth and creamy.  In a separate bowl, add the Flour, Baking Soda, Salt, Cinnamon and Nutmeg, and stir well.  Add the Flour mixture to the Mixing bowl, a little at a time, and mix between additions.  Scrape down the sides of the bowl, and mix on medium speed to blend well.  Place the mixing bowl in the refrigerator for 30 minutes to chill the dough.

Line 2 Cookie Sheets with Parchment paper, and drop the cookie dough by scoops (From a Cookie Scoop) onto the Parchment paper.   Bake at 350, for 10 to 12 minutes, or until cookies are golden brown.  Remove the cookies to a wire rack to cool.  When Cookies are cool, Frost with the Vanilla Frosting, and sprinkle a little Cinnamon on top of the Frosting.  Serve, and Enjoy!
