Can I make the whole McCafe line of drinks?
Yes, once you have the basic ingredients for their coffee recipe down, you can make their Iced Coffee’s, their Frappes, or their Iced Lattes, and even their hot brewed coffee drinks if you’re just wanting a good cup of coffee. This recipe calls for a premium grade of coffee beans, like Arabica beans, which will give you a full-bodied coffee with a great roasted flavor that will make the best coffee you can brew at home, right in your coffee maker.
Once you’ve ground the coffee beans, which will really boost the quality of your coffee, you can decide which drink you’re really wanting, and make it with a little heavy cream, or light cream, like half n half, or whole milk if that’s your preference. Then you can add a simple sugar syrup, or a flavored syrup, like caramel syrup, or chocolate syrup. You can also add a French Vanilla Syrup, and even add a splash of Vanilla extract for a wonderful vanilla flavor, just like McDonald’s vanilla iced coffee.
After you’ve ground the coffee beans, you’ll have a wonderful pot of hot coffee as your base to make any of the drinks on the McDonalds Mccafe drink menu.
- Premium Roast Coffee Beans
- Ice cubes
- Flavored Coffee Syrups
- (Caramel, Hazlenut, Vanilla, French Vanilla, Sugar Free French Vanilla)
- Whipped Cream
- Caramel syrup
- Chocolate Syrup
Start by grinding the Coffee Beans. You’ll need a good coffee grinder. Grind up the beans, and measure out 2 Tablespoons of the ground coffee to place in your coffee maker. Add 8 to 10 ounces of water, and brew the coffee. Using a tall glass, place ice cubes in the glass, and when the coffee is done brewing, pour the coffee over the ice cubes. Add a generous helping of the syrup of choice, and then add a little or a lot of cream, or milk, depending on your preference. Stir well, and add a few more ice cubes if needed. And there is your Iced Coffee recipe.
If you’re making a Frappe, place the Ice, Cream, Flavored Syrup in the blender, and add the brewed coffee, and blend until smooth, and creamy. Pour into a tall glass, add a generous helping of Whipped Cream on top, and add a generous amount of Caramel or Chocolate Syrup on top of the Whipped Cream.
If you’re making an Iced Latte, you’ll want to brew 4 Tablespoons of ground coffee with 8 – 10 ounces of water, which will resemble Espresso, which is what makes Lattes a little different, and a lot stronger than the iced coffee’s or Frappe’s. Place the ice in the tall glass, and add the strongly brewed coffee (you don’t have to have an espresso maker to make this drink) Add flavored syrup of choice, about 2 Tablespoons, and add cream or milk to the glass, and stir well to blend. If you like your drink a little sweeter, add a little more syrup. You can also add a little whipped cream if you prefer, or add a generous amount of drizzled caramel directly into the glass to make a Caramel Macchiato.
If you prefer an iced Mocha, start with the tall glass, and add ice cubes, then the strongly brewed coffee, cream, or milk, and add a generous amount of Chocolate syrup to the glass, and stir well. Add whipped cream on top, and drizzle with more chocolate syrup.
If you have friends or family over, you can make any combination of flavors to make sure your guests get the drink they want, or prefer. This is sure to be a crowd pleaser, no matter which version they may ask for. With just a few flavored syrups, which you can find at most grocery stores, on the coffee isle, you can please even the pickiest guest. You can also use chocolate syrup from the ice cream isle if you can’t find chocolate or caramel syrup on the coffee isle. You can use the canned whipped cream from the dairy isle, and it’s perfect to add to the tops of any of the drinks requested. And, if you wanted to, you can even make your own simple syrup, or sugar syrup. All you do is place about 2 cups of water in a heavy bottomed sauce pan, add 1 cup of sugar, and bring to a boil, and boil for about 1 minute, then turn down the heat to a simmer for 2 minutes. Remove from the heat, and leave the sweet syrup just as it is, or add vanilla extract, about 1 teaspoon, to the pan, and stir well, making Vanilla flavored syrup. You can also add other extracts, such as maple, or mint to make the syrup taste like your favorite flavor.
No matter how you choose to make these coffee drinks, everyone is going to love these delicious recipes, and you can make them over and over, and enjoy them anytime you prefer. If you have someone that prefers espresso shots, you can just brew the coffee really strong, and serve it up like they like it. If you have someone who only likes cold brew, you can make these drinks with store bought cold brew, found in most dairy cases, with the other drinks, but, we can’t guarantee that the drinks will have the same delicious flavor as the fresh brewed coffee. You could try brewing the coffee a day in advance, and placing it in your refrigerator to have a cold coffee. Enjoy!
