Open the Ribs, and lay the Ribs meat side down on a large piece of Butcher, or parchment paper. Using a sharp knife, place the knife under the corner edge of white colored membrane that is covering the bones. (Some Ribs, such as Hormel brand, may come with the Membrane removed, if so, you can skip this step). Loosen the Membrane with the knife enough to get a hold of the Membrane, or Silver skin. Grab hold of the Membrane with one hand, and hold the Ribs down with the other, and pull the Membrane off of the back of the Ribs. This is necessary to remove, because it will keep the seasonings and smoked flavors from getting through to the Meaty part of the Ribs, and it forms a leathery texture when cooked, that’s not good.
Once the Membrane is removed, tear off two large pieces of Foil, and put them together, doubling the Foil. Place Ribs in the center of the Foil, and lightly spray with Spray Olive Oil. Rub the Olive Oil into the Ribs. In a large bowl, add the Garlic Salt, Seasoned Salt, Garlic Powder, Onion Powder, Dry Mustard, Paprika, Black Pepper, and Brown Sugar, and stir together until completely blended. Rub the homemade spice rub, or dry rub, on the Ribs, rubbing it into the Meat. Drizzle the honey over the dry rub and pull the Foil around the Ribs, and seal the ribs in the foil.
Place the Ribs in the Air Fryer Basket, and cook them at 375 for 30 minutes. Turn the heat to 325, and cook for another 30 minutes. Unwrap one side of the Ribs, and using a Meat Thermometer, which is the best way to test the internal temperature, make sure the Ribs are done. The thermometer should read 190 to 200 degrees, or Well Done if you don’t have a temperature reading on the gauge. If they’re not done, wrap them back up, and cook at 350 for 15 minutes, and test again. Leave the Ribs in the Foil, and let the Ribs stand for an hour after cooking, without unwrapping the foil. This will help the Ribs to be juicy and tender. After an hour, place the ribs in the Air Fryer Basket. Slather the Ribs with BBQ sauce, and cook them for 5 minutes at 350 degrees, watching them so they don’t burn. When done, remove the ribs from the basket, serve, and Enjoy!
