Are you looking for a delicious, easy-to-make dessert that will tantalize your taste buds? Look no further than these heavenly lemon cake bars!
Made with angel food cake and lemon pie filling, these bars are sure to be a hit. Let’s take a look at how to make them.
HERE’S WHAT YOU NEED:
- 1 Angel Food Cake Mix – I used Betty Crocker – Confetti Angel Food
- 1 can of Lemon Pie Filling – 21 ounce
OPTIONAL:
- Powdered Sugar – to top if desired
- Whipped Cream – to top if desired
HERE’S WHAT YOU DO:
Place the Angel Food Cake Mix in a large bowl. Open the can of Lemon Pie Filling and add the Pie Filling to the Cake Mix. Stir together until well mixed, and no cake mix is visible. The Batter will be fluffy and foam up a little.
Pour into a 9 X 13 dish (un-greased) and bake at 350 degrees for 25 to 30 minutes. The Cake will raise above the dish in the oven but will settle when removed. When the Cake is done, remove from the Oven to a wire rack, and allow to cool completely. Sprinkle with Powdered Sugar and cut into 3 X3 inch squares. Top with cool whip and a sprig of mint. Serve, and enjoy!
Makes approximately 12 servings.
