These Cosmic brownies recipe tiktok or viral fudgy brownies are so good. Just like the little debbie cosmic brownies you remember from childhood, they’re smooth, and chocolaty, and the little candy coated chips on top are crunchy and just set off the flavors that melt and burst in your mouth. They’re really easy to make, and you can have them done in no time, no extra trips to the grocery store for brownies, a fun copycat recipe to make. The frosting is rich and thick, brings back so many childhood memories of one of my favorite snacks, and all the nostalgic flavor of little debbie snacks. Serve these up with some ice cream, or whipped cream, and you’ve got a wonderful cosmic brownie recipe everyone will love!
HERE’S WHAT YOU NEED:
3/4 cups of butter – melted
1 cup of sugar
2/3 cups of brown sugar
2 teaspoons of Vanilla extract
2 whole egg
1 1/2 cups of all purpose flour
3/4 cups of unsweetened Cocoa powder
1/2 teaspoon of baking powder
1 Tablespoon of Corn Starch
1/2 teaspoon of salt
3 Tablespoons of Milk or heavy cream
1/2 cup chocolate chips
rainbow chips sprinkles
1 stick of unsalted butter
2/3 cups of Cacao powder
3 cups of powdered sugar
1/3 cup of whole milk
1 teaspoon of Vanilla
1 tsp espresso powder
Homemade cosmic brownies instructions:
In a large bowl of a stand mixer, place the melted butter, sugar, brown sugar, Vanilla, and eggs. Mix on medium speed until well blended. Scrape sides of mixing bowl with a rubber spatula, and blend brownie batter again. In a separate bowl, add, flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, corn starch and salt, and mix together until well blended. Place chocolate chips in the microwave and melt, then add to the batter. Add the flour mixture to the Mixing bowl, and blend on low speed until all ingredients are completely blended smooth. Add the Milk to the mixing bowl, and blend on Medium speed until mixed. Let the batter rest.
Grease a 9 X 13 pan, and pour the batter into the pan. Bake at 350 for 25 to 30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. Remove from oven, and place on a wire rack to let the brownies cool. Be sure to not overbake as we are going for that chewy brownies texture.
MAKE THE FROSTING:
Place a Medium size sauce pan on the stove, and add the butter, and cocoa. Bring to a gentle boil, stirring constantly. Remove pan from heat, and add the powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla. Stir until well blended, and frosting starts to thicken. When the brownies are room temperature, pour the ganache over the top, and allow Brownies and Frosting to cool completely.
When Brownies are cool, sprinkle the rainbow chip sprinkles on top, and allow to sit until completely cool to achieve that chewy texture. Cut into 3 X 3 inch squares, serve, and Enjoy!
Makes approximately 12 – 15 Brownies
You can store these rainbow chip-topped, fudgy cosmic brownies in an airtight container for up to one week or cover them with plastic wrap and store in the fridge or counter top.
You can serve these copycat cosmic brownies with a glass of hot milk, crumble in vanilla ice cream or any ice cream flavors, or for an extra chocolate treat you can dip them in milk chocolate milk and top with mini m&m sprinkles. Happy baking!
