Mini Chocolate Chip Pancakes Recipe
Servings: 4
Prep Time: 10 minutes
Cook Time: 15 minutes
Total Time: 25 minutes

Ingredients
- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 large egg
- 1 1/4 cups milk
- 3 tablespoons melted butter
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup mini chocolate chips
- Butter or nonstick cooking spray, for the pan
- Maple syrup, for dipping

Instructions
- In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the egg, milk, melted butter, and vanilla.
- Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and gently stir until just combined. A few small lumps are fine. Fold in the mini chocolate chips.
- Heat a large nonstick skillet or griddle over medium-low heat. Lightly butter or grease the surface.
- Drop very small amounts of batter onto the hot skillet, using about 1 teaspoon of batter per pancake. Keep the pancakes small so they’re easy to pick up and dunk.
- Cook for about 1–2 minutes, or until bubbles begin forming on the surface and the bottoms are lightly golden.
- Flip and cook for another 30–60 seconds, until fluffy and cooked through.
- Transfer to a plate and repeat with the remaining batter.
- Serve the mini pancakes warm with a little bowl of maple syrup for dipping.

Tiny, Fluffy Pancakes Made for Dunking
There’s something extra fun about breakfast when everything is miniature. These little chocolate chip pancakes have all the flavor of a classic stack, but they’re small enough to grab with your fingers and dunk straight into maple syrup.
Mini chocolate chips work especially well because you get little pockets of chocolate throughout the pancakes without overwhelming their tiny size.
Pile them high on a platter, sprinkle a few extra mini chocolate chips over the top, and serve them with individual cups of warm maple syrup.

Tips for the Best Mini Pancakes
Keep your skillet at medium-low heat. Since these pancakes are so tiny, they cook quickly and can brown before the centers are finished if the pan is too hot.
A squeeze bottle or piping bag is also an easy way to make lots of evenly sized mini pancakes. Fill it with the batter and pipe little circles directly onto the griddle.
Don’t overmix the batter. Stir just until everything comes together to keep the pancakes soft and fluffy.
For an extra-special breakfast, serve them with maple syrup, chocolate sauce, whipped cream, fresh strawberries, or sliced bananas.

Make Them Pancake Dippers
For the cutest presentation, stack a handful of mini chocolate chip pancakes in a small bowl or paper food tray and place a little ramekin of warm maple syrup alongside them.
They’re easy, chocolatey, fluffy, and completely dunkable — basically pancake bites made for dipping.
