Strawberry Muddy Buddies
Strawberry Muddy Buddies
These Strawberry Muddy Buddies are the sweetest twist on the classic puppy chow—crispy, creamy, powdered-sugar coated, and bursting with strawberry flavor. They’re easy, fun, and totally irresistible. Whether you’re making them for Valentine’s Day, spring parties, or just because, this snack mix disappears fast.

If you love easy no-bake treats, this is one you’ll find yourself coming back to again and again because it’s so customizable.

You can add mini marshmallows, chocolate-covered strawberries, heart sprinkles, or even throw in a handful of freeze-dried strawberries for even more berry flavor.

The base recipe is so simple that you can play with the flavors depending on the season—lemon pudding in the spring, pumpkin spice pudding in the fall, or funfetti pudding for birthdays. But the strawberry and cheesecake combo is my personal favorite. It tastes like candy but feels like a special dessert.

What I also love is how low stress this recipe is. No baking, no special equipment, no complicated steps. It’s the perfect make-ahead snack that you can whip up while dinner cooks or while watching TV.

And because it stays fresh for days, it’s a great option for school treats, holiday dessert boards, or movie nights. It’s one of those recipes that makes life just a little sweeter—and those are always the best ones.

Ingredients
- 6 cups Rice Chex cereal
- 1 ½ cups white chocolate chips
- ½ cup creamy peanut butter
- 3 tablespoons butter
- 2 tablespoons cheesecake instant pudding mix
- 1 tablespoon strawberry Jell-O powder
- 1 teaspoon strawberry flavoring (optional but so good!)
- Powdered sugar (about 1–2 cups, as needed)
- Pink food coloring (optional)

Instructions
Step 1: Melt the chocolate mixture
In a microwave-safe bowl, melt the white chocolate, peanut butter, and butter in 30-second intervals, stirring each time until smooth.
Step 2: Create two flavors
Divide the melted mixture evenly into two bowls.
Bowl 1 (Cheesecake flavor):
- Sprinkle in the cheesecake pudding mix.
- Add 3 cups of Chex cereal and gently toss until coated.
- Add to a large zip-top bag with powdered sugar and shake until fully coated.
Bowl 2 (Strawberry flavor):
- Mix in strawberry Jell-O powder, strawberry flavoring, and a tiny drop of pink food coloring.
- Add remaining 3 cups of Chex and toss to coat.
- Place in another bag with powdered sugar and shake to finish.
Step 3: Combine
Pour both the pink strawberry muddy buddies and the white cheesecake muddy buddies into a big bowl. Toss lightly to mix the colors and flavors together.
Storage
Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 1 week (if it lasts that long!).
You can also freeze it for up to 2 months.

Jennie’s Thoughts
This is one of those recipes that makes me feel like a kid again. It’s nostalgic, fun, pink, sweet, and just a little bit extra—exactly how I like my snack mixes. I love how the two flavors blend together: a creamy cheesecake note in the white pieces and a bright, fruity strawberry burst in the pink ones. When you scoop a handful, you get a mix of both flavors, and it’s just addictive.

These are perfect for gifting, parties, or a cute weekend treat. And they photograph SO well—so cute and pink and sparkly! Make a batch and try not to eat half of it warm (trust me… impossible).
