Step by Step Instructions
Step 1: Open the Can of Mandarin Oranges, and drain in a colander. Open the can of Pineapple and drain the heavy syrup into a container with a lid – save the syrup for drinks, or sauces.

Step 2: Place the Oranges in a medium size serving bowl, add the drained Pineapple, Sour Cream, Shredded Coconut, and Mini Marshmallows.

Step 3: Stir well to mix. Cover with Cling Wrap, and place the Salad in the refrigerator for about 4 hours to completely chill. Before serving, remove from the refrigerator and stir well to blend.

NOTE: May be served with side dishes for Brunch, Dinner, or anytime. Also great served with Sandwiches, and crackers. ALSO: There seems to be some confusion between this old recipe for the traditional 5 Cup Salad, and Ambrosia – Ambrosia has Cool Whip and Maraschino Cherries, and can contain Banana Slices, and chopped Nuts, like Pecans or Walnuts – 5 Cup Salad does not contain those ingredients.
