Party Pizza’s
Party Pizza’s
Talk about a great appetizer or Hors d’ Oeuvres to serve at a party, or anytime your having family or friends over.

These little Party Pizza’s are easy to make, and everyone is sure to love them. They’re crispy, and gooey, and packed full of flavor in just a few bites.

They’re great for any occasion, and even on nights when you just want something light, and want to stay in with a good movie. Make sure you put these in your favorites!

HERE’S WHAT YOU NEED:
- 1 pound of Jimmy Dean Maple Sausage
- 1/2 of a sweet onion – minced
- 1/2 of a Red Bell Pepper – minced
- 1/2 of a Green Bell Pepper – minced
- 1/2 a teaspoon of minced Garlic
- 1 pound of Velveeta
- 1/3 cup of Ketchup
- 2 Tablespoons of Worcestershire Sauce
- 1 heaping Tablespoon of Brown Sugar
- 1 teaspoon of Italian Seasoning
- Garlic Salt – to taste
- 1 loaf of thin sliced Rye Bread

HERE’S WHAT YOU DO:
In a heavy bottom skillet, cook the Sausage until its completely done, no pink is visible, and it’s a golden brown color. Place the cooked Sausage on paper towels to drain the fat.

While the Sausage is cooking, rinse the Bell Peppers, and cut into small minced pieces. Cut the Onion into small minced pieces, and set aside with the peppers.

When the Sausage is removed from the skillet, remove any remaining fat from the skillet, and add the minced onion, red and green Bell Peppers, and cook on medium until golden brown and tender.

Turn heat to low, and crumble the sausage into fine pieces. Add the Sausage back to the skillet, and add the Minced Garlic. Stir well, and add the Velveeta Cheese, and cut in pieces in the skillet, when the cheese melts, add the Ketchup, Worcestershire Sauce, Brown Sugar, Italian Seasoning, and Garlic Salt – to taste.

Cook for 2 minutes on medium low, stirring often.

Open the package of Rye Bread (I used Pepperidge Farm) and with a sharp, serrated long knife, cut the bread, 3 pieces at a time, into thirds, or fourths, and then in half, so you have small pieces of the bread. Line a couple of cookie sheets with Parchment Paper, and lay the pieces of Bread out in a single layer on the Cookie Sheet.

With a spoon, or small metal spatula, spread the Sausage/Cheese mixture on the pieces of bread. Place in the oven at 400 degrees for 10 to 15 minutes, or until the Cheese is melted and slightly browned on top. Remove from oven, cool for a few minutes on a wire rack. serve, and enjoy!
